MUNCIE, Ind. - The Kent State field hockey team (3-7, 2-1 MAC) won 4-2 against Ball State (5-5, 2-1 MAC) this afternoon.
In the first quarter, the Cardinals were able to take the lead, 1-0, after scoring on a penalty corner.
At the half, the Flashes led in shots (9-3) and corners (3-2). The score remained 1-0 going into the third quarter. Two minutes in, Eva Usoz tied the game 1-1 with an assist by Katie Wuerstle. Ball State fought back and converted a penalty corner to take the lead 2-1.
