FRANKLIN TENN... The Kent State women's golf team will gear up for the Franklin Regional beginning on Monday May 9, as the Flashes look to punch one of four tickets to this years NCAA Championships.
"We are very excited to compete at this year's regionals," Kent State head coach Casey VanDamme said. "A chance to get into the finals is what you are looking for from the beginning of the season, we have done that, and now it's time to compete."
To advance to the next level, the Flashes will have to overcome some steep competition in a field that features four top-25 teams in #4 Wake Forest, #9 Alabama, #15 Texas A&M and #21 Duke, as well as four more fellow top-50 schools and a Vanderbilt team that should get a boost as the hosts of this year's competition.
