KENT, Ohio - The Kent State lacrosse team took on Robert Morris at Dix Stadium Wednesday. And although they gave a valiant effort, the Golden Flashes were unable to pull off the upset, losing to their conference foes, 11-8.
In what was one of the closest games played between these two schools, Kent State came out firing in the first quarter, scoring the first goal of the game only 11 seconds into regulation off the stick of sophomore Jackie Wolford. Wolford, who would go to put up her third game with three goals scored on the season, found the back of the net with 11:20 to go in the first quarter as well, giving the Flashes a 2-0 advantage.
