KENT, Ohio – Kent State defeated Akron, 85-76, Friday night at the M.A.C. Center.

Senior Khaliq Spicer and redshirt junior Kellon Thomas led the Golden Flashes (18-9, 9-5 MAC) with 22 points each. Redshirt junior Jimmy Hall added 17 points.
