AURORA, Ohio- The Kent State men's golf team put together a strong second round that tied the Flashes for the lead. Eastern Michigan held a six-stroke lead after round one, but the Flashes rallied to fire a 7-under 281 that closed the Eagles' gap on the par-72, 7,202-yard Club Walden.
"We showed a lot of character in the second round," said head coach Herb Page. "We were quite a bit behind and just kept plugging away. Something we've been looking for all year and it hasn't been there. I think the nicest thing I saw was that everybody was in the ballpark.
