YPSILANTI, Mich. – Kent State (26-10, 9-3) completed its fourth series sweep of the season and first in conference play by taking down Eastern Michigan (13-20, 5-4) 7-3 on Sunday afternoon.
After Zarley Zalewski walked in the 3rd, Conner Simonetti blasted a ball more than 400 feet over the wall in dead center to give the Golden Flashes a 2-0 lead.
A walk, stolen base and base hit got the Eagles on the board in the bottom of the 3rd, but Dylan Rosa put Kent State back in front by two when he hit a solo shot out to left field in the 5th.
