ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.- The Kent State women's golf team wrapped up a dominant performance at the Branch Law Firm / Dick McGuire Invitational earning its first tournament win of the season on Tuesday at the New Mexico Championship Golf Course.
"What a way to start the season," said head coach Lisa Strom. "This crew got off to a fast start this morning and never looked back. I'm so proud of the seniors on how they played and going back-to-back team champions is no easy task."
Kent State won the tournament with a 16-under par 848 score (283-287-278), defeating the second-place Pepperdine by seven strokes.
