ATHENS, OHIO- The Golden Flashes and Ohio Bobcats split a pair of slugfests at Bob Wren Stadium, with Kent State winning game one 14-7 and Ohio taking game two, 16-12.
GAME ONE: Kent State 14 Ohio 7
The Golden Flashes knocked out 17 hits in the game one win with all nine starters getting at least one base hit. Kent State overcame a six-run Bobcat second inning in the win.
Michael McNamara started the onslaught in the comeback with a two-run homer in the third, tying the game at six. After a quiet fourth and fifth inning, the Flashes erupted for five in the sixth.
