The junior left-hander threw 6.1 innings on Sunday, scattering five hits and allowing two runs cross the plate, both in the second. Chalus only walked two and struck out eight while picking up his fifth win of the season.
Bowling Green struck first on Sunday, using two doubles to take the early 2-0 lead. The lead was short-lived as Kent State got two walks to start the second and both came into score on a double off the left field wall for Ripken Reese.
