DEKALB, Ill. – The Kent State men's basketball team (20-9, 15-4 MAC) earned a gritty road win over Northern Illinois (8-21, 5-14 MAC) to extend its winning streak to 11 games, the most since the 2001-02 season.
Head Coach Rob Senderoff has led the Flashes to their seventh 20-win season during his 11-year tenure, the most in Kent State history. Senderoff earned his 216th career win which ties him with Darrell Hedric for seventh-most in Mid-American Conference history.
The Golden Flashes started slowly, scoring just 12 points over the first 12 minutes of the game.
