LETHBRIDGE, Alberta – The Golden Flashes Men's Basketball team opened play in the Western Slam on Thanksgiving night downing the Towson Tigers by 65-54 final score. Three different Flashes racked up double-digits as Kent State kept the Tigers at bay late in the second half.
Following an early Towson push, Kent State took the lead at 14:07 in the first on a three from Jalen Sullinger as part of a 15-0 run. The Tigers were able to claw back into the half with a pair of buckets. Morgan Safford, Delrecco Gillespie, Cli'Ron Hornbeak allowed Kent State to build back a slight lead with some good finishes underneath.
