Flashes Picked Second in MAC Preseason Coaches’ Poll

CLEVELAND- The Golden Flashes have been picked second in the Mid-American Conference pre-season coaches' poll.

The Flashes took home 84 points and two first place votes putting them behind Ball State who received 95 points and six first place votes.

Kent State went 27-27 last season and 17-13 in conference play, finishing the season in fifth place and securing a trip to the MAC Tournament. The Flashes return 68% of their innings pitch on the mound led by Eric Chalus (72.2), Benny Roebuck (47), and Ciaran Caughey (42). Also returning is left-handed fireman, Peyton Cariaco, who led the team in saves and tied for the team lead for wins with Chalus (5)
