KENT- The Kent State Golden Flashes baseball team opened their nine-game home stand with a 14-3 run rule victory over the Ohio Bobcats on Thursday night.
Jake Casey got Kent State on the board in the bottom of the first inning when he took a 1-2 pitch and parked it over the wall in right centerfield.
Kent State would hang a crooked number on the scoreboard striking for eight runs in the bottom of the third. The first run would come across on a sacrifice bunt by Micah Rienstra-Kiracofe. The next seven runs would all come in with two outs in the inning.
