ATHENS, Ohio – Kent State (5-20, 2-13) faced a tough foe Wednesday night at Ohio (22-4, 14-1) , falling by a final score of 86-52.
The Bobcats scored first out of the opening tip and went on to lead 32-12 at the end of the first quarter. The Golden Flashes finished the half by successfully making their last four attempts from the floor to find themselves behind by a score of 47-29.
Through the first two periods, Ohio worked well inside, scoring 32 points in the paint and grabbing 23 rebounds, eight more than Kent State.
To start the third period, the Bobcats went on a 10-0 run before Tyra James was able to sink foul shots to stop the streak.
