Flashes look to preserve perfection at MAC Championship

HOLLAND, OH.... In 1999, the Mid American Conference held its first ever women's golf championship at Kings Island in Mason Ohio, with Kent State becoming the first ever team to hoist the trophy.

Since that day 21 conference competitions have been held, and incredibly, the Flashes have won every single one.

The Kent State women's golf team will look to make it 22 in a row in Holland this weekend, entering this year's MAC Championship fresh off a second place team finish at the Lady Buckeye Invitational last week.

"We're excited, it's been a long season and it's all led up to this so this is a new start," Flashes head coach Casey VanDamme said.
