MEDINAH, Ill. The Kent State women's golf team sits at the top of the leaderboard after 36 holes of play at the Illini Invitational on Monday.
The Flashes lead the tournament at 9-under 567 and hold a 3-stroke lead over second-place Louisville. Kent State posted an opening round of 1-under 287, followed by a second-round score of 8-under 280.
Senior Karoline Stormo paced the Flashes in the opening day and sits tied for third at 4-under par 140. Stormo posted an opening round of 1-over 73 after going 15 holes for par or better.
