TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The Kent State women's golf team opened their final tournament of March on Friday with the opening round of the Florida State Match Up at Seminole Legacy Golf Club. The Flashes fired a 19-over-par 307 on the opening 18 to sit in tenth place of 13 teams competing.
Tournament host Florida State sits atop the team standings after round one at 2-under-par, followed closely by Illinois at 1-under-par. All 11 other teams competing posted rounds of 11-over-par or worse in round one.
Three individuals tied for the best round of the opening day for Kent State, as Veronika Kedronova, Gracie Larsen, and Leon Takagi each fired rounds of 76 at 4-over-par.
