KENT, Ohio – Kent State women's soccer continues Mid-American Conference play with its first of two straight home matches, as the Golden Flashes host Miami in a 1 p.m. kick at Zoeller Field at Dix Stadium on Oct. 9.

The Golden Flashes (3-6-3, 3-1-1 MAC) returned to their winning ways on Thursday, beating Eastern Michigan 4-2.
Freshman Mary Kate Lape and sophomore Alisa Arthur led the way for the Flashes in the team's strongest offensive showing of the season so far. Lape scored the first goal of her collegiate career just three minutes into the first half off of an assist from Arthur, then tallied her first-career brace in the second half, once again aided by #11.
