Another strong season wrapped up Tuesday for the Kent State women’s golf team. The Flashes finished in a tie for fifth place after being eliminated in match play to No. 2 Alabama.
The team did what no other team outside the “Power Five” conferences had ever done, advancing to the match play stage at the National Championships in back-to-back seasons.
Flashes in fourth place after first day
Sophomore Pimnipa Panthong led the way for the Flashes as she finished 1-under par, the only golfer on the team to break par. She finished with four birdies on the day.
