MEDINAH, Ill.- The Kent State University women's golf team put together a season-low score Monday afternoon, carding the No. 2 and No. 3 all-time team scores in program history to shoot a combined 13-under par score at the opening day of the Illini Women's Invitational.
The Flashes opened with a round of 11-under 277 and followed up with a 2-under par 286 score.
The day was built on 29 birdies and 130 pars, as two of the five Flashes set or tied career bests for 18 holes. Senior Michaela Finn sits in first place with an 8-under 136 score, good for a career-low 36 hole total.
