AWENDAW, S.C.- The Kent State Golden Flashes men's golf team finished fifth among a field of 15 at the Hootie at Bulls Bay Intercollegiate on Tuesday. In their final round, the Golden Flashes shot a 7-over 295 for a tournament total of 859 (-5).
This marks Kent State's fourth top-10 finish of the season. In the 15-team loaded field, the Flashes beat out five top-50 teams in the nation, including the No. 4-ranked Duke.
Individually, freshman Johnny Travale finished in sixth place at 6-under with rounds of 70,68, and 72. This marks a career-best finish for the freshman.
