KENT, Ohio - The Kent State field hockey team (2-7, 1-1 MAC) fell 3-2 against Ohio University (3-3, 1-1 MAC) this afternoon.
In the first quarter, the Flashes came out on top, leading 1-0, after three minutes. Eva Usoz scored her fifth goal of the season and currently leads the team (5).
For the second quarter, both teams earned one corner each and Kent State led 2-1 in shots on goal.
The Bobcats tied the game 1-1 late in the third quarter. With five minutes remaining in regulation, the Flashes were awarded a penalty stroke.
