COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Kent State lacrosse team (0-1) fell 17-6 to Ohio State (2-0) this afternoon in the season opener.
Zayda Crumpton tied the score 1-1 to score the first goal of the season for the Flashes. The Buckeyes led 5-1 in the first quarter with seven shots on goal (7-3).
Late in the second quarter, Allie Lee scored to pick up the momentum for Kent State. At the half, Ohio State led in caused turnovers (6-1) and shots (20-11).
With only seconds remaining in the third quarter, Emily Bond scored while the Flashes were a man-down to bring the score 14-3.
