YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio. – Kent State (3-6) fell to a hot-shooting Youngstown State (7-1) 91-61 on Saturday afternoon.
The Penguins shot nothing but three-pointers in the opening five minutes, making four of ten to have and early 12-7 lead at the game's first media timeout. McKenna Stephens had five of the Flashes' seven points at that time. Youngstown State's lead grew to 21-9 at the end of the quarter.
Just before the horn heading into the half, Keziah Lewis sunk a three to make it a 38-19 game at the halfway point.
