MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. - The Kent State lacrosse team took on Central Michigan in the opening round of the 2022 Mid-American Conference postseason tournament on Thursday. But the first-seeded Chippewas got the better of the fourth-seeded Golden Flashes, defeating Kent State 15-5 to end their 2022 season.
Central Michigan scored early and often in this one, jumping out to a 4-0 lead in the first quarter. Maggie Diebold scored three times for the Chippewas, put her season total of goals scored at 60. Brennan Paddy had a hat trick for CMU as well.
