Flashes Fall Short in Series Opener at Mercer

MACON- The Kent State Golden Flashes baseball team fell to the Mercer Bears 5-9 on Friday evening.

After giving up two runs in the first the Flashes fought back to tie the game in the third inning courtesy of an RBI double by Luke Matthews followed by a Hayden Jatczak RBI single.

After Gavin Jones hung a zero on the scoreboard in the bottom of the third the Flashes would score two in the top of the fourth. Max Humphrey would drive in Brody Williams with an RBI double up the left field line.
