AKRON, OHIO- The Golden Flashes dropped the finale of the Crystal Clinic Wagon Wheel Challenge 7-3 on Sunday afternoon at Skeeles Field in Akron.
Kent State had 10 hits on Sunday, but left 13 on base in Sunday's setback. Josh Johnson led the way, going 3-for-four with a run scored, it was his fourth multi-hit game of the weekend.
The Zips struck first on Sunday, scoring a two-out run in the second on a rbi single. Kent State answered back with Collin Mathews singling home Josh Johnson and Jake Reifsnyder working a bases-loaded walk.
