EAST LANSING, Michigan –The Kent State University field hockey team fell in a 3-2 overtime loss to the Michigan State Spartans in a neck-in-neck battle at Ralph Young Field in East Lansing, Michigan Sunday afternoon. Sophomore Clara Rodriguez Setó scored both goals and junior goalkeeper Mary Crumlish tallied 8 saves for the Flashes (0-2).
Action-packed from the start, the Spartans (1-1) went ahead 1-0 on a penalty stroke goal from Aisha Osinga in the 2ndminute of the game. The Flashes responded minutes later with four consecutive shots, ending with Rodriguez Setó's first goal in the 7thminute.
