YPSILANTI, Mich. – The Kent State volleyball defeated host Eastern Michigan, 3-0 (25-21, 25-22, 25-23) in a Mid-American Conference matchup Saturday afternoon.
For the second straight contest, senior Savannah Matthews led the Golden Flashes (11-6, 2-4 MAC) with 10 kills and 15 digs, three blocks and one service ace. Freshman Sadie Wright added five kills on 10 errorless attempts and a team-high four total blocks. Graduate student Alex Haffner recorded 25 assists and added nine digs. Graduate student Erin Gardner tallied 15 digs to share the team lead with Matthews.
