YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The Kent State track and field teams were back in action on Friday as they competed at the Northeast Ohio Quad hosted by Youngstown State, picking up four wins with two athletes moving into the top ten in the Kent State record book.
Jake Wickey had a strong start to his outdoor season, taking the men's hammer throw title with a personal best toss of 214' 8". The mark moved Wickey into ninth all-time at Kent State and will put him near the top of the Mid-American Conference leaderboard in the early part of the season.
