KENT- Kent State erased an early six-run deficit but two late RedHawk runs flipped the game to the visitors in 9-8 setback on Sunday afternoon.
Miami used a five-run first and was up 6-0 after an inning and a half before the Flashes got on the comeback trail. Mike McNamara and Ripken Reese each hit solo homers to make it a 6-2 game before Brody Williams unloaded on a three-run homer to left in the third to make it a 6-5 game.
The Flashes completed the comeback in a three-run fifth.
