MACON- The Kent State Golden Flashes baseball team dropped the series finale to the Mercer Bears 5-7 Sunday afternoon.
The Flashes struck first scoring three runs in the top of the third inning. Freshman Sawyer Solitaria served a single out to left field that scored Micah Rienstra-Kiracofe and Jake Casey. Hunter Klotz continued the party with an RBI-Single to right field that scored Hayden Jatczak.
Mercer answered the Flashes three runs in the top of the third with three of their own in the bottom half of the inning.
