Flashes Drop Four-Setter to First-Place Miami

KENT, Ohio – Kent State started the final weekend of the regular season with a 3-1 (19-25, 23-25, 25-22, 18-25) loss to first-place Miami on Friday evening at the M.A.C. Center.

The Golden Flashes (13-16, 6-9 MAC) were led offensively by senior Amy Kober, who had nine kills. Freshman Danie Tyson was right behind with eight kills. Freshman Melissa Kolurbasi and senior Lexi Mantas added seven kills each. Redshirt freshman Alex Haffner had a team-high 20 assists.

Freshman Erin Gardner tallied 21 digs and Sam Jones had 14 digs.
