CHARLOTTE, N.C. –The Kent State University baseball team (3-7) dropped both games of the double-header at Charlotte (6-4) Saturday, March 2. Senior Connor Wollersheim pitched the full 6.0 innings in the first game, fanning six in the 1-0 loss. Junior John Matthews suffered the loss in the nightcap as the Flashes fell, 7-2.

Wollersheim (0-2) tossed another gem in the first game of the day, allowing just one run and striking out six in 6.0 innings of work. The 49ers managed nine hits off the senior, but the Kent State defense made key defensive plays to strand eight on base.
