KALAMAZOO, Mich. – Kent State (14-18, 4-2 MAC) came back facing a deficit in the sixth inning and scored five runs in the frame in its 5-2 victory over Western Michigan (10-15, 2-2 MAC) on Friday evening. Pitcher Andrea Scali was dominant and tied her career-high with 12 strikeouts.
"Great team win with contributions from everyone, said Kent State head coach Eric Oakley. "We talked earlier in the year about disciplined role playing and that's what we did. Pitching and defense have kept us in games until our offense has a chance a break through.
