YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – It was a historic day for the Kent State lacrosse team (3-5, 2-1 MAC) as it defeated Youngstown State (1-3, 1-3 MAC), 19-10, in the first Mid-American Conference matchup between the two programs.
The Golden Flashes have won back-to-back games for the first time in program history after taking down Presbyterian and YSU this past week. Abby Jones also made history as the first Kent State lacrosse player to record 100 career points. She finished the game with three goals and two assists.
Goals were coming early and often for the Flashes, as Madison Rapier and Kelli Bailey combined for three goals in 55 seconds which is the fastest three goals in program history.
