KENT, Ohio—The Kent State University field hockey team ended the Mid-American Conference regular season with a 5-1 record following a 3-1 victory over Appalachian State University at Murphy-Mellis Field Friday afternoon. Three Flashes scored goals on the day as freshman Helena Cambra Soler netted her first career goal.
The Flashes struck first in the 16th minute as sophomore Emma Bressler netted a goal on a direct corner from the top of the circle, her fifth on the season. Senior Courtney Weise recorded the assist as she inserted the ball on the play.
