KENT, Ohio – Kent State put more than 20 points on the board in three quarters while committing a season-low six turnovers in a decisive 86-67 victory over visiting Toledo during the annual Play4Kay game on Saturday afternoon in the M.A.C. Center.
The Golden Flashes (14-9, 7-5 MAC) shot 33-for-67 from the field and had a 44-24 advantage in paint scoring. Freshman Katie Shumate led the way with a career-high 24 points while adding six rebounds and two blocked shots. Sophomore Asiah Dingle went for a season-best 22 points and team-high six assists.
