JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Four members of the Kent State men's track and field team competed at the NCAA East Preliminary Round on Wednesday.
Kristian Kneffler posted the Golden Flashes' best finish on opening day with a height of 16'-10.75" to tie for 16th in the pole vault. Kneffler passed on the opening bar before clearing first attempt at 16'-4.75" and 16'-10.75". The bar was then raised to 17'-2.75", but Kneffler was unsuccessful in his three attempts.
Jake Wickey placed 22nd in the hammer throw with a top mark of 205-8" on his first attempt.
