Flashes’ Comeback Comes Up Short in Opener

OXFORD- The Kent State Golden Flashes baseball team fell in the series opener against the Miami RedHawks by a score of 5-4.

Miami would jump out to an early lead after scoring all five of their runs in the bottom of the first inning.

After the first inning Kent state starting pitcher would settle in nicely pitching five more shutout innings.

Hunter Klotz would get the Flashes on the board with a two-run homer in the top of the second. The senior took a 3-1 pitch and hammered it over the wall in right field.
