CLEVELAND, Ohio- The Kent State men's basketball team was unable to keep pace with Ohio, falling to the Bobcats, 85-63, in a Mid-American Conference championship quarterfinal game at the Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse on Thursday afternoon.
Senior Tervell Beck and Malique Jacobs led Kent State with a team-high 16 points. Redshirt freshman Jeremiah Hernandez added nine points, while senior Justyn Hamilton led the team with six rebounds.
Despite the Flashes hitting a three-pointer by Beck to start the game, Ohio answered with a 15-1 run and led 15-4 at the 13-minute mark.
