KENT, Ohio – The Kent State soccer team was unable to get past Arizona on Thursday afternoon, falling 4-0.
After kickoff was delayed by nearly two hours thanks to lighting early in the day and excessive heat in the afternoon, neither team could find much footing early on. Arizona opened the scoring in the 31st minute.
The Golden Flashes (2-2-1) trailed 1-0 at the halftime break, but Arizona was able to score four more goals in the second half to put the game out of reach.
Kent State was only able to generate two shots in its first game in the Copper State.
