FORT WAYNE, Ind.- The Kent State men's golf team won its 27th-Mid-American Conference Championship, tallying a third round total of 910 (+46) at the Sycamore Hills Golf Club. Sophomore Chris Vandette was crowned tournament champion after a tournament total of 10-over 226.
At 910 (+46) for the tournament, the Flashes won by 13 strokes over second place Northern Illinois and 17 strokes over third place Ball State. The Flashes had four players finish in the top-10.
Vandette finished the final round with a 76 (+4) score after carding two birdies. He led the team in par-4 scoring (+10), and led the tournament in par-5 scoring (-4).
