KENT, Ohio- Kent State soccer earned a hard-fought, 1-0 victory over the Buffalo Bulls on Sunday afternoon from Dix Stadium. The Golden Flashes' 10th straight victory ties the longest win-streak in program history and improves their record to 10-1-0 (6-0-0 MAC), while the Bulls fall to 6-6-2 (3-3-0 MAC).
A fast start by the Golden Flashes led to the only goal of the match by Jenna Hellstrom just 15 minutes into the contest. Kristen Brots played the ball to Hellstrom just outside the 18-yard box where Hellstrom created space from the Buffalo defender and curled a brilliant shot over the Bulls' keeper and into the corner of the net.
