MOBILE- Hayden Jatczak continued his hot start, but a three-run fifth and two run sixth from SIUE did in the Flashes in a 9-4 setback on Sunday.
Jatczak has been swinging a hot bat to start the 2024 season hitting driving in a pair of runs. The graduate student hit his fourth extra-base hit on the season, his fourth during the South Alabama Invitational.
The Cougars jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the first inning, but the Flashes would answer back with two runs of their own in the top of the third thanks to a Luke Matthews RBI single and a Jatczak RBI double.
