The Kent State track and field program sent 10 student-athletes to Jacksonville for the 2021 NCAA East Preliminary Round, which is being held May 26-29 at the University of North Florida.
The top 48 declared student-athletes in each individual event will compete this week at Jax Track at Hodges Stadium. The top 12 performers from each preliminary site will advance to the NCAA Division I Men's and Women's Outdoor Track and Field Championships held June 9-12 in Eugene, Oregon.
Women's throwers Gabby Bailey and Grace Tennant, as well as men's sprinter Asa Hodrick will compete it a pair of events, giving the Golden Flashes 13 total entries at the meet.
