East Division co-champion Kent State will face 2019 Mid-American Conference Tournament champion Buffalo in a tournament quarterfinals contest Wednesday evening at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in Cleveland. The final game of the day is estimated to tip at 7:30 p.m.
The Golden Flashes (18-11) clinched at least a share of the division title after defeating unanimous preseason favorite Ohio, 81-77, last Wednesday at the M.A.C. Center to conclude a four-game winning streak. Locked in as the No. 3 seed in this week's tournament, eight different Kent State players saw 15 or more minutes of action in a 72-58 loss at Buffalo on Saturday.
