The Kent State field hockey team is returning home this week having split the weekend's games, falling to the University of Richmond (2-7) and defeating Saint Louis University (3-5).
The University of Richmond's Cadera Smith kicked off scoring an unassisted goal early in the first period on Saturday.
The Spiders would not let up, scoring two more goals in the first half of Saturday’s game coming from Nealy Henderson in the 33rd minute and Olivia Hubert in the final seconds of the first period.
The Flashes came out swinging in the second half, as Madeline Osgarby scored less than ten minutes into the half.
