NORTON, Ohio — The Kent State men's cross country team waited out a rainstorm before kicking off the 2017 season at the Tommy Evans Invitational Thursday (Sept. 7) at Silver Creek Metro Park.
Freshman Madison Dunlap paced the women's team, placing third in her first collegiate race with a time of 18:09, as Kent State went 3-2 in the 5k race. Redshirt sophomore Sam Goodman was the top finisher for the men, finishing sixth at 15:21.2. The Golden Flashes went 1-2 in a 5k race that was shortened from its original 4-mile course.
