KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Trevor Detillion captured his second men's discus throw title in as many weeks on Saturday to highlight several strong performances by the Kent State track and field team at the Tennessee Relays.
Detillion unleashed a throw of 183'-5" on his final attempt to win the event. The redshirt junior led the competition following the prelims but sat in second-place after Tennessee's Joseph Maxwell recorded a throw of 178'-4" on his fourth attempt. After finishing runner-up in the discus at the season-opening Raleigh Relays, Detillion won the event a week ago at the Northeast Ohio Quad with a personal-best throw of 185'-8".
